Meet Gage Hurricane Harvey Rescue
Hi, I’m Gage! I am one of ten dogs who were lucky enough to be rescued from Hurricane Harvey by Paws in the City volunteers on Friday, September 1. I had been in a shelter in South Texas when suddenly a big storm rolled through which caused flooding. I needed to be evacuated and was taken to a shelter in Katy and then again moved to Austin. An amazing furniture store was turned into a temporary animal shelter. The store was now lined with crates full of evacuee animals, instead of couches. Lucky for me, PITC brought me to Dallas and got me the care I needed. Now that I’m here, I have another shot at life and am looking someone to foster or adopt me.
I am the most handsome, velvety Pit Bull Terrier mix. I am 1-1/2 years old and weigh 55 pounds. I’m the perfect medium-large sized low rider with a white coat and little polka dots all over my body. I am so cute and have the best smile! I am a sweet boy who loves belly rubs. You’ll surely get a good laugh with me around since I’m a big goofball. My perfect family would lead an active lifestyle and get me the exercise I need since I’m a medium to high energy pup. I am super speedy and can run zoomies like no ones business.
