We all have our favorite drinks and go-to happy hour orders, but that doesn’t mean we can’t switch it up every now and then. This month, try something new and support local businesses by visiting a nearby winery, brewery, or distillery! You can do a wine-tasting, stomp grapes, taste a beer flight, and try a delicious cocktail, all within easy Uber distance from home. Check out a few of these cool places in the area. Who knows? You might just discover your new favorite adult beverage!
Wineries
Wine helps you relax, enriches the food you pair with it, and is so flavorful!
Start your adventure at a boutique winery. VineCrafters, located at 146 Shady Creek Lane in Rockwall, is a small, family-owned winery that makes wine simply because they love it. At VineCrafters, you can dance to live music on the weekends, participate in harvesting and grape stomping (at select times), order handcrafted and woodfired pizzas, and simply
enjoy a fun wine experience off-the-beaten path. vinecrafters.com.
The Eden Hill Vineyard offers fantastic guest experiences at their Eden Hill Estate in Celina and their Eden Hill at Dallas Farmers Market. Visit the Estate to tour the Tempranillo vineyard, visit the tasting room, go behind-the-scenes in the winery, and more. Try the best of Texas wines at a wine flight (paired with artisan bread and Texas olive oil). Or, bring your own picnic, grab a drink from the cellar bar, and simply enjoy the quiet farm life by the fishing pond. Later, you can drink more Eden Hill at the Dallas Farmers Market, where you can order a flight of wine in the tasting room or wine by the glass or bottle. edenhill.com.
